Roman festival in the arena !

Most of the crowd enjoyed it, but some were leaving : it was lunchtime and the main attraction was the chariot races or the gladiators.
When gladiators were fighting, Roman often left agonizing crucified at their place in the arena, sometimes adding braziers under their legs to burn them, making them shout for the great laughs, pleasure and emotion of the mobs…
this was the fate for :
- escaped slaves
- rebellious slaves
- all mansion’s slaves when one of them slaughtered their master
- uncooperative war prisoners
- Christians
…. …. ….
we all glad to live in century 21st I guess, despite the barbary of main, we do not reach such cruelty, actually.
