Yes, besides, her hair is tied up, exposing her neck. I find the contrast between the girl's slender neck and the width of the blade really interesting. The decapitation of a girl like that with a guillotine must be something instantaneous and inevitable. The neck would be sliced like butter.

I saw one at Bunratty castle - but it wasn't done well - wenn i See a woman's neck i always fantsize how it would be when the blade is going down
