...formely known as Forbotz's Hanging Scenes List.

General information.

1. The database has an official cloud home on MediaFire.

All the file are read-only accessible in this shared directory:

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/g57menvuwcj1q/H

The contents of the directory will be described later in this post.

Note: Ovidio Ricci is a fantasy name, whose components were selected randomly from two separate lists of names and family names. It bears NO connection whatsoever to my actual name.

2. Since the whole database is starting to become really bulky it is time to be able to release and version different parts (from now on termed chapters) separately. The overall bulk ZIP method remains available.

3. The chapters files format has changed from the previous HTML to JSON (JavaScript Object Notation); JSON is a lightweight text-based data interchange format that is easy for both humans and machines to read and write.

If you don't known JSON, start with the wikipedia page https://wikipedia.org/wiki/JSON; I attach to this post an image which contains a cheat sheet for JSON.

Since JSON files are just text files you can read them with any text editor; moreover there are lot of tools (even web broser extensions) which show the contents in a nicely formated way.

Note: why the change from HTML? because the conversion step I had to perform added a lot of work without any real advantage.

4. The directory contains:

* fhsd-YYMM.zip file which bundle all the .json files up to the given YYMM date;
* schema-YYMM.pdf the detailed description of the .json files structure and encodings;
* count.pdf which contains the scene statistics;
* a number of JSON files, named according to the rules described in the schema-YYMM.pdf file, which contain the actual database chapters.

October 2025 Update

Since converting data files and checking their content is quite a job, the initial release will take places in batches.

The first batch contain 1500, 1600, 1700, ancient, china, korea, medieval and philippines chapters, for a total of 117 scenes.

I hope to restore and update everything by the end of the year.

November 2025 Update

This release marks the completion of the conversion to JSON; in addition, about 80 new scenes have been added for a total of almost 500 scenes.

The MediaFire site contains:
* all the JSON files;
* fhsd-2511.zip the ZIP containing all the JSON files;
* schema-2510.pdf (unchanged from previous release);
* counts.pdf the current statistics.

Enjoy and Merry Christmas.

Really well done...looking forward to more
