Guillotine movie is now available to watch
Forum Home > Public : General > Guillotine movie is now available to watchThis movie appeared to go very quiet and the hope of it entering into the public domain went cold a year or two back. In fact I'd given up hope of ever seeing it a year back. It's the movie called simply "Guillotine" made in 2022 I think Directed by : Ray Izad-Mehr (American-Iranain). It had been shown at Festivals like Cannes in 2022 and Barcelona amongst others but it wan't released through cinemas at all - due to no distribution deal having been made I think. I just happened to stumble across it being avaialble last week on Amazon Prime - At Last!!! after 3 years. Prime Members can watch it free as well. Only so far seen 2 of the 5 stories it tells - I saw up to the demise of Charlotte Corday who killed Marat in the French revolution. Her execution is very impressive! Maybe everyone knows about it being available to watch - I can't see anything posted on this site. But just in case it escaped everyone else - like me - I've written this here. It's a must watch anyway.
Thank you so much for this. Have been checking back frequently on this one, but had not yet realised that it had finally emerged from the shadows.
And on a platform that I have access to. (much rejoicing !!)
I think the introductory sequence is absolutely hilarious, if not completely on-topic for me.
But now, down to business - I've cut three clips, hopefully haven't missed anything else.
We have the well known Charlotte Corday episode, then a (true-life ? - not been able to confirm) young lady, a dissident against French rule in 1961 Algeria.
And finally an unfortunate associate of Saddam Hussein's murderous sons in Baghdad after the fall of the regime in 2003

Thanks Aris...you are the BEST !!( The charlotte cordal tale was the more faithful for history to me )
Thanks for spreading the good news around and putting those video posts on here Aris. I've only watched the first of them (Charlotte Corday) so far but it's good to know there's more to come yet. Cheers.
Thanks a lot for the videos Aristarchus. Does somebody have the full movie ? It's totally blocked in my country, even with a VPN. So I can't watch it...
